Transportation Examinations

Occustar performs DOT and transportation examinations onsite and in our Buffalo office to support the medical safety of commercial drivers. These exams help protect the driver, the employer, and the traveling public by ensuring medical qualification is maintained without unnecessary downtime.

DOT examinations follow FMCSA standards and include medical history review, vitals, vision and hearing requirements, urinalysis, and cardiovascular assessment. Documentation is consistent, professional, and structured to meet employer and regulatory expectations.

Optional surveillance services, including bloodwork, EKGs, and PSA testing, may be added based on employer preference. When used, these screenings support long-term trending and early detection of medical concerns relevant to safety-sensitive work.

OSHA requires certain medical surveillance documents to be retained for the duration of employment plus 30 years. Occustar formats documentation to support these requirements, and group driver exams are organized into binders for simple retrieval and compliance management.

Our goal is reliable, compliant examinations that maintain driver safety and operational readiness.
